PDF10x — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026 · Android app com.gauravkr.pdf10x

In short: your files never leave your phone. Every tool in the app runs on your device. The app has no internet permission, no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We never receive, upload, store or see your documents.

PDF10x for Android (package com.gauravkr.pdf10x, "the app") is the companion app to pdf10x.com, developed by Gaurav Kumar, Gemini Digital Solutions ("we", "us"). The pdf10x.com website has its own privacy policy.

1. Your documents

When you pick a PDF or image, Android gives the app temporary access to that file only. The app copies it into its private cache, processes it on your device (merge, split, compress, convert, sign, protect and so on) and writes the result to the app's private storage. If you choose, a copy is also saved to your Downloads/PDF10x folder, or to any location you select.

Temporary copies are deleted automatically when the app restarts. You can delete finished files at any time from My files, or all at once in Settings → Clear My files. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored privately.

2. Information we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit or share any personal data or usage data. It does not request the internet permission, so it technically cannot send data to us or to anyone else.

The app stores a few settings on your device only: your theme, language, whether to save results to Downloads, and the tools you used recently. Android may include these settings in your personal device backup if backup is on; documents are never included in backups.

3. Passwords and signatures

Passwords you type to open, protect or unlock a PDF are used only in memory for that task and are never saved. Signatures you draw are saved as a temporary image in the app's private cache so they can be placed on the page, and are deleted with other temporary files.

4. Permissions

Access Why
Files you pick (system file picker / photo picker) To read the documents and images you choose. The app cannot see any other files.
Camera (through your camera app) Only for Scan to PDF, when you tap "Take photo". The app itself does not hold the camera permission.
Downloads folder To save a copy of results when "Save results to Downloads" is on. No permission is needed on Android 10 and later.

5. Links to our website

Some features (such as OCR, Edit PDF and Remove watermark) and links (help, blog, terms) open pdf10x.com in your web browser. What happens there is covered by the website's privacy policy. The app never passes your documents to the website.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade or share any data, because we do not have any. When you tap Share, the file goes only to the app you choose, under that app's own privacy policy.

7. Children

The app is a general productivity tool, does not collect personal information from anyone, and is suitable for all ages.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold personal data from the app, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. All app data stays on your device and under your control. If you have questions under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, DPDP or any other privacy law, email us.

9. Security

Files stay in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. Protect PDF uses AES-256 encryption. Sharing to other apps uses temporary, file-specific access that Android revokes automatically.

10. Changes

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
